ECC Hosts Nursing Career Fair for Students

Held February 5, the event brought together hospitals, healthcare facilities, and universities that offer baccalaureate nursing programs to offer job opportunities and educational pathways for nursing students.
鈥淚t’s like speed dating for nursing jobs and degrees,鈥 explains Loretta Langley, nursing instructor. 鈥淪tudents can accumulate multiple school applications, job offers, interviews, or just peruse curriculum plans and employment options at their leisure.鈥
Future plans aim to expand the fair to include all ECC allied health students, reflecting the high demand for various disciplines in the healthcare industry.
鈥淪everal health agencies brought members from their human resource departments to the fair,鈥 Langley says. 鈥淭hey were all very eager to hire as many disciplines as we could offer, and all offered extraordinarily good wages for new graduates.
鈥淲ithout question, in today鈥檚 world 鈥 a degree in any allied health field is a sure ticket to a full and prosperous career!鈥
